Cheese Steak Stuffed Peppers

24 Sep

We now have FAJITA Meat available for $7.50/lb. We tried this recipe with skirt steak, but I am confident it will be awesome with our fajita meat. This is a very easy recipe with only a few ingredients. Try it tonight!

1 lb. CBB Flank, Skirt or Fajita Meat

3 Large Bell Peppers

12 Slices of Provolone Cheese

1 Medium Onion

Mushrooms

2 T. Butter

2 T. Extra Virgin Olive Oil

2 T. Minced Garlic

Salt and Pepper to Taste

Preheat oven to 400.

Slice peppers in 1/2 lengthwise, remove ribs and seeds.

Slice onions and mushrooms. Saute over medium heat with butter, oil, garlic and salt and pepper until caramelized.

Thinly slice meat and add to the pan. Cook until desired doneness.

Line the inside of each pepper with a piece of cheese. Fill with meat mixture and then top with another piece of cheese. Bake at 400 for 15-20 minutes until cheese is golden brown.
