Is the corn that is used to finish off the beef non gmo?
Currently, there is not a year around supply of non-GMO corn available here in Colorado. We would have to buy non-GMO corn from Texas or OK, which would price us out of the market. Also, it would negate our local product status. The corn we feed is grown right on the same farm where we feed the cattle. Everything we do with our company is within a 100 mile radius- where the calves are born, pastured, fed, processed and consumed. If and when, non GMO corn becomes available at a competitive price year around, we plan to feed it.
